Have a Sunday coffee in Paris - La Caféothèque

Paris is an extremely huge city! One of those cities where time runs, where people run, where nothing stops. You have to run to keep up with the rhythm of the city. The only day that the rhythm drops a bit is Sunday, when the city is transformed, when the people stop for a minute to admire its beauty.

A Sunday is most certainly a wonderful occasion for the workaholic Parisians to discover their city.

This particular Sunday afternoon, after a very stormy day, we decided to visit the famous la Caféothèque (52 rue de l'hôtel de ville), to taste their well-known coffee.

The location is perfect; just next to the Hotel de Ville and at the same time next to the river. That offers a magnificent view of the city center on both sides of the river. So you could combine a delicious coffee with a great walk of the city center before or after.

The coffee shop is always full of people, but its interior design offers the relaxed and distressed environment that some may seek. The coffee is as good as the rumor has it, with a great variety of styles from all over the world, and of course vegan options.

I wouldn't say that this is a typical parisian café, but maybe this is what makes it so special. It offers a cosy environment, perfect for this time of year.

Don't hesitate to wait for a bit to get a table! La Caféothèque is a victim of it's success.

Fortunately Paris has so many options to offer to a citizen or a tourist, that one has to be very stubborn to leave from the city without finding at least one favorite spot.

If you like alternative choices, but at the same time good quality coffee, then you should undoubtedly visit this place!

P.S. You can buy the coffee that you preferred and have it at home. They have roasters for all kinds of coffee machines. That is always a plus!
